TOPIC: Blood Regulations

TOPIC DESCRIPTION: Introduction into US regulations that applies to blood and blood components
 

SPEAKER: Lisa R. Upshaw,MS. CMQ/OE(ASQ)

 

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY: Lisa started her career in translational research in islet cell transplantation, then eventually was bitten by the quality bug. The move into quality eventually lead to a role in regulatory affairs. She graduated from the UW School of Pharmacy Biomedical Regulatory Affairs Master’s program and has over 15 years industry experience and is currently the Regulatory and Compliance Manager at Bloodworks Northwest.

Bloodworks Northwest is an independent not-profit organization serving more than 90 Northwest hospitals. We have been around for over 70 years and have expanded our footprint into Oregon with the acquisition of a blood center in Eugene, OR. We provide products and services to better the lives of patients in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
