Thank you to all who attended the 2026 ORCA reception on September 22nd!
The reception took place at Fred Hutch Cancer Center where we welcomed 50 attendees – ORCA members, non-members, sponsors and raffle prize providers. Catered appetizers and multiple beverages provided the backdrop for pleasant and productive networking among regulatory, clinical and quality control professionals and their supporters.
Highlights of the evening included
- An introduction to ORCA’s mission and programs by current board president, Tim Rapuano
- Presentation of the 2026 Martha Feldman Award by Elizabeth Cross Nichol, Program and Grants Manager for Life Science Washington, to Ali Bouge, Kamau Therapeutics, Head of Regulatory Strategy & Innovation and UW, Associate Teaching Professor for the Biomedical Regulatory Affairs Master’s Program (BRAMS)
- A keynote address by Dr. Erica Jonlin, Regulatory Manager for UW ISCRM, featuring the development, promise and challenges of stem cells and organoids for drug discovery and meeting FDA requirements for NAMs
- Introduction of three board nominees
- Raffle prizes provided by NWABR, GE HealthCare and ORCA.
- Sponsorship and company information provided by GE HealthCare, Pfizer and MDDAP

Beginning March 2024, ORCA is reducing the non-member registration fee to just $20.00 for regular monthly meetings, both in person and webinars.
